About Me
Hello there, welcome to my blog!
My name is Vidhya. I’m a 90s baby, born and raised in Malaysia. I have four loves in my life: family, writing, travel, and food.

The Economics of Adulting is a rather odd name, I must admit, but it is one that is very close to my heart. As a fresher in college nearly a decade ago, I was rather confused about what to major in. That is, until I took up my first Economics course. I fell in love with the subject and ultimately did my Master's in Economics as well.
I was always under the impression that what I studied in school would determine what I did for the rest of my life. After a couple of years in the banking industry, I finally realized this need not be true. So in 2020, I decided to pursue my passion for writing, and become a freelance writer and blogger.
This blog is inspired by my struggles with adulting. Adults have so many things to manage and figure out: finances, relationships, career, mental health, navigating social media…the list goes on and on. I always thought I was alone in my struggles. Everyone else seemed to have it all figured out.
It took me some time to see that no one really has everything figured out. We’re all finding our way in this world and struggling with the beast that is adulting in one way or another.

Thus, The Economics of Adulting was born. A homage to my past and a nod to where I am now. Here, I write about all things adulting. I share my struggles, strategies to overcome challenges as an adult, and helpful resources.
I hope you’ll join me on this wild ride. Subscribe to my blog and let’s tackle this adulting thing together, one blog post at a time.
